Prepare for the TOEIC

28 Apr 2014

Polyglottes Formations offers preparation courses for the TOEIC exam. These can be intensive courses or flexible according to your availability.

The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is an English language test designed specifically to measure the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. It has become the reference point for busisnesses in France, and a threshold level of 750 is recommended to work in an international context. Businesses use the test as part of their recruitment process, or to promote employees.

The TOEIC directly assesses oral and written comprehension of English and also indirectly evaluates written and oral expression. It is the tool used to test the level of English spoken by non anglophones.

The TOEIC is also required to pass certain degrees in some Grandes Ecoles (e.g. 750 is the minimum score required to pass an engineering degree).

Professional topics covered in the Listening and Reading exam are defined by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), which administers the TOEIC.
